Level switch : Level Sensors for Solids
Vibrating level sensor

- Overview
- Measurement is made using proprietary coil impedance detection. The sensor has a magnet and an electromagnet to which alternating current is applied. These two magnets cause the sensor to vibrate.
Automatic temperature correction ensures stable solid level measurement.
This compact sensor with a detector as short as 175mm is suitable for level measurement of small to medium size hoppers or pipe.
- Features
- Reliable measurement due to proprietary coil impedance detection.
- Applications
- Level measurement of pressure tanks of fine powders such as coffee powder, powdered milk, chocolate, and colcothar.
Typical solids and granular materials such as sugar, salt, wheat, flour and other grain, powdered cellulose, glass material, plastic pellet, powder or cement.

- Overview
- The sensor has a magnet and an electromagnet inside the detector. These magnets cause the detector to vibrate. The sensor measures change in current that flows on the electromagnet to know a level. Flameproof (TIIS Exd ⅡB T4)
and intrinsically safe (TIIS ExiaⅡC T5) models are available.
- Features
- Measurement is made using proprietary coil impedance detection. 17 models including standard, remote, flameproof or intrinsically safe are available.
- Applications
- Level measurement of liquids, solids, granular materials and sludge blanket up to 150℃ (<180℃ with high temperature type)

- Overview
- The sensor has two piezoelectric crystals for oscillation and reception placed on a plate. The sensor detects decrease in board vibration to know solid presence.
- Features
- High accuracy solid level sensor using a vibration board supported at two locations. No moving parts and easy installation. A wide range of types available to suit specific applications.
- Applications
- Fine powders of bulk density > 0.02

- Overview
- Level measurement based on our original technology that uses a detector incorporating a piezoelectric crystal and an acceleration pickup. Compact and low cost. Solid level switch with the latest technology.
- Features
- No moving parts. Insensitive to dielectric constant, change in water content, or static electricity. No adjustment required. Fail-safe functionality. Integrated to any solid control equipment.
- Applications
- Small to medium size hoppers for solids equipment

- Overview
- The sensor uses a piezoelectric crystal to vibrate the plate, and the ringing is measured to detect solid presence. Compact and light weight sensor specialized for solid measurement.
- Features
- No moving parts, flat detector, adjustable sensitivity, easy installation and low cost. Ideal for integration into other equipment
- Applications
- Small hopper for solid control equipment

- Overview
- The sensor has a magnet and an electromagnet fixed on a plate. When current is applied to the electromagnet, repulsive force of the magnet causes the plate to vibrate.
- Features
- Robust and shock resistant flush-mounted sensor with a vibration plate as thick as 1mm. Remote type available.
- Applications
- Low limit detection of medium to large size hoppers
Motor torque level sensor

- Overview
- The sensor converts motor rotation to reciprocating motion to activate the integrated microswitch.
- Features
-
The best selling, simple and rugged model. A wide range of designs available. Operates flawlessly and offers long service life.
- Applications
- Solids, granular materials and bulk solids in small to large silos, in asphalt plants and batch plants

- Overview
- Paddle inserted in the hopper rotates to detect solid presence.
- Features
-
Easy torque adjustment, magnetic “slip” mechanism to protect the motor, very compact and lightweight, low cost and long service life
- Applications
- Integration into plastic processing machinery and cereal processing machinery

- Overview
- Typical rotating-puddle solid level switch that detects solids using rotating puddle
- Features
-
Easy sensitivity adjustment, shaft if φ10mm to avoid affection from process conditions and to improve robustness.
- Applications
- Bulk solids (cement, flour, animal feed), granular materials (pellet, fertilizer, grain), and solids (coal, lime stone, ore)
